Cleveland native Derek Hess has many outlets for his art. His concert posters for the likes of Pearl Jam, The Afghan Whigs, Pantera and many more have received national acclaim. His work has also appeared on album covers and inspired numerous tattoos. His clothing line, Strhess, features his designs and sketches on hoodies and shirts. This Saturday Hess celebrates his latest project, “Black Line, White Lie” — a 300-page collection of his work from the past 20 years — with a book signing and reception at Rivet. Sketches and prints by Hess will be available at the event.
