Foster the People comes back to Columbus so often that I have nothing left to say about them. (Still lovin’ that “Pumped Up Kicks”!) Thankfully, their opening acts are also notable.
First up is Kimbra, the Kiwi songstress you’ve heard over and over in Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know.” Her own album, “Vows,” is something else entirely, an icy-hot Bjork-meets-Florence-meets-Natasha Bedingfield hall of mirrors.
Then come The Kooks, the British media darlings who continue to build momentum stateside with a string of singles that succeed in their stated goal: “I wanna make you happy!”
