When the lights go out at Goodale Park, the city’s usual music hotspots spring to life with some of their biggest events of the summer. There’s always a lot happening, so we did you a favor and rounded up can’t-miss options of many stripes.

The Lost Revival

9 p.m. Friday at Kobo, 2590 N. High St., North Campus

Kevin Collins and company are back with another album of breathy, ballsy post-Springsteen bloodletting. “The Greatest Scam Ever Pulled” covers a whopping 55 minutes over 17 tracks, allowing the band to show off new tricks like the art-damaged bliss of “We the Devil” and the untamed charge of “Ma Cherie.”

Also appearing: The George Elliot Underground, The Town Monster, Estocar

The Floorwalkers

10 p.m. Friday at Skully’s, 1151 N. High St., Short North

Nobody pleases a crowd like The Floorwalkers. Aren’t these guys still too young to play like old pros?

Also appearing: The Black Cadillacs, a reverb-drenched roots-rock powerhouse from Knoxville, Tennessee

roeVy

10 p.m. Saturday at Skully’s, 1151 N. High St., Short North

Brain-dead oontz-oontz club music must certainly be at its saturation point by now, but roeVy has always risen above the rabble. (Do we even need to say it? OK, we’re going to say it.) Let’s do this.

Also appearing: Carma + Attak, Magua, Kevy Kev, Jehfekt

Jahman Brahman

10 p.m. Saturday at Woodlands Tavern, 1200 W. 3rd Ave., Grandview

Ex-Ohioans Jahman Brahman are back to unleash a new album of unwashed tie-dye festival rock.

Also appearing: Knoxville electro-jammers Arpetrio (yes, two bands from Knoxville are making waves this weekend)

Psychic Ills

10 p.m. Saturday at Carabar, 115 Parsons Ave., Olde Towne East

Signed to Sacred Bones, one of the most critically ogled labels in underground rock, these New York experimentalists specialize in detachment rock, flittering off mumbled twang ditties with titles like “Mind Daze” and “Sungaze.” If ComFest couldn’t get you to zone out, these guys will finish the job.
