When The Black Crowes last came through town two summers ago, they played LC Pavilion’s expansive outdoor amphitheatre. So for fans of the band’s bluesy roots-rock ramble, the chance to see core member Chris Robinson up close should not be taken lightly.
The singer-guitarist’s new solo project Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play Thursday in the close confines of the LC’s sister venue A&R Music Bar, where music from the brand-new “Big Moon Ritual” and its upcoming companion, “The Magic Door,” is likely to dominate. Don’t worry, fanboys: It sounds like The Black Crowes.
