“Bad news travels like wildfire/ Good news travels slow.” Whitey Morgan claims he’s the former, but I’ll vouch that he’s more the latter. (Maybe that’s why we haven’t previewed one of his many visits to Columbus until now.)
Morgan plays honky-tonk music. He does not mess around with variety. His self-titled Bloodshot Records debut should be required listening for people who claim they hate what mainstream country has become.
Thursday at Woodlands, he’ll be joined by Erika Hughes and The Well Mannered.
