Staff Pick: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World at Goodale Park

Amid a lot of fanboy hype, “Scott Pilgrim” was a modest disappointment at the box office in 2010, but the video game-stylized comedy picked up the cult following I predicted it would. Hell, I named it my top movie of 2010.

So if you’ve only seen Michael Cera’s Scott vanquish Ramona Flowers’ evil exes on home video, you’re in for a treat when the fourth Screen on the Green series at Goodale Park kicks off this Friday.

The movie is projected on a 30-foot screen near the softball field in the southeast corner of the park. The show is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and flashlights.

Oh, and there will be food trucks and carts on hand, too. Can you think of a better night under the stars? Me neither.
