Don’t be fooled by that digitized bass thump closing in from all sides. A legion of guys with guitars is still out there trying to grab the troubadour torch.

A nasally Swede named Kristian Matsson leads the pack. After 2010’s “The Wild Hunt,” Mattson (a.k.a. The Tallest Man on Earth) ascended to living-legendary status among swaths of young folks seeking a Dylan of their own.

He’ll headline the Wex behind the fuller, freer “There’s No Leaving Now,” a record that affirms Matsson as a talent to reckon with though not necessarily to reverence.

Speaking of reverence: The utterly brilliant Strand of Oaks opens.
