For its third major outdoor event of the year, CD102.5 has assembled one of its most enticing lineups ever.

Metric, the Canadian pop-rock combo fronted by Broken Social Scene’s Emily Haines, just released “Synthetica,” which successfully updates their sound to thrive in the EDM era without succumbing to outright house beats and bass drops. Anyone mourning local rockers Phantods will find lots to like.

While Metric thrives through evolution of form, co-headliner Ben Kweller benefits from evolution of function. Kweller’s always been in The Beatles’ wheelhouse, and he’s doing it better than ever.

Also playing Saturday: Tanlines (hipster synth dudes), Lumineers (old-timey dress-up folk), Maps & Atlases (math rock), Atlas Genius (the Australian Phoenix), Civil Twilight (the South African Radiohead) and local soul innovators Forest & the Evergreens.
