Band bio: “Two women from the north playing heavy f---ing noise.”

That about sums it up, but in case your interest is piqued: On their creepily titled 2010 EP “The Moulting” and this year’s LP “The Pilgrimage,” these ladies perform a screamy, riff-driven strain of hard rock that ranges from dense post-hardcore murkiness to full-on spazz freakout mode. Vocalist-guitarist Therese Lanz plays a baritone guitar custom made by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, and that band isn’t a bad reference point to the carnage that unfolds.

Pilgrim, Primitive Weapons and The Black Antler will also rock Ruby’s this Thursday.
