Preview: 2 Chainz at Long Street Entertainment Complex

The biggest rap resurrection of the past year: 35-year-old Tauheed Epps, who languished in semi-obscurity for a decade under the name Tity Boi, changed his name to 2 Chainz, hopped on tracks with superstars like Kanye West, Drake and Nicki Minaj, and this month released a smash hit album, “Based on a T.R.U. Story.”

2 Chainz just played the Newport last month, so to see rap’s most endearingly obnoxious MC returning to this city so soon is occasion to thank the Lord. Or at least thank Ohio Union Activities Board, who is bringing the rapper to the South Oval along with Big Sean for a students-only welcome-to-college concert Thursday evening. Thankfully for those of us without a BuckID, Chainz will mosey down to Long Street later for a nightcap.
