It’s hard not to have a smidge of house envy whilst strolling the streets of the Short North. Beautiful homes and gardens with one-of-a-kind details abound. Satisfy your urge to peek in those windows this weekend at the annual Short North Tour of Homes & Gardens.
Sunday is the main tour. A $15 ticket ($20 day of) will garner you access to 10 spaces that call the arts district home. There’s a little something for everybody.
Renovation revelers will dig the two-bedroom home at 68. E. Prescott St., which was built as a manufacturing facility in 1904. Partners Eddie Hambrick and Bruce Shumard have transformed it into a modern must-see. Don’t miss the glass-walled central courtyard.
For architectural ingenuity, visit the four-story home on East Russell Street. The first floor is dedicated to garage and courtyard space, including a lift for stacked parking. The second floor is for living and dining space. Bedrooms are on the third floor, and the fourth floor is a rooftop terrace.
