Really, we could have put these in any category because they’re so awesome, but we have a feeling the graphic or video game designer in your life would particularly like these.

Currently digging: Brouillette’s endearing out-of-touch pirate at the Short North Candle Lab. (Silly pirate! Only Jeni’s could sell lemonade for $500!) The store also sells an area artist’s laser-cut versions of a map of Columbus. If you want more options, head up the street to 83 Gallery; it’s brimming with inexpensive but cool pieces so diverse you could shop for most of your art loving list there.

Recycled chalkboard tablet, $22

Buy it: LP Designs

Peg & Awl, a husband and wife team from Philly, makes its chalkboard tablets from recycled and repurposed materials. That leather strap holding the chalk pencil (chalk pencil!) was once part of a gun holster.

Signed Annie Leibovitz book, $85

“American Music” is just one of the books by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz available for pre-order of an autographed copy. This would be a sweet reminder of your trip to the Leibovitz Wex exhibit together. Haven’t gone yet? Get tickets and put them in the gift’s card!
