IG Gallery Hop Show

A local Instagram community group called IGers Columbus curated this collection of images. The show was open to the Instagramming public and all the submitted images can be seen on Instagram under the hashtag “270isforlovers.” Local Instagram lover Lizzie Koselke runs Instagram Columbus (@IGersColumbus) and started the group about a year ago. Members of the group (anyone can join!) meet once a month for photo walks or photography chat sessions.

Instagram at the Columbus Museum of Art

Columbus Museum of Art’s curator of photography Catherine Evans sifted through nearly 900 submissions to get to the 36 she selected for this exhibit of Instagram images from the public. The museum sanctioned Photo Hunts this spring to gather the photos; participants were given eight evocative words, such as joy, pride and curiosity, and asked to Instagram their best representation of that word.
