Karma to Burn at Ace of Cups

There’s nary a grain of sand in West Virginia, but that didn’t stop Morgantown trio Karma to Burn from becoming one of the foremost practitioners of the stoned-out metal subgenre sometimes known as “desert rock.” (Ask Josh Homme about it.)

After seven years off followed by a weird merger with Year Long Disaster’s Daniel Davies, the original trio of William Mecum, Rich Mullins and Evan Devine is back in action, churning out sprawling psychedelic grooves unmarred by unnecessary vocal protrusions.

At Ace of Cups this Thursday, rising Columbus rockers Cadaver Dogs will join them, and fellow locals Charlie Hustle will groove for the last time.
