Marilyn Manson may have gone from PTA Enemy No. 1 to a national punchline, but if you have a taste for the guy’s electronics-infused shock rock, last year’s comeback album Born Villain will sate it. There’s no “The Beautiful People” in the bunch, but the string of singles are as creepy, crawly and catchy as ever, even if the guy still seems to be trying too hard most of the time.
Manson played Rock on the Range last year, but those seeking a more, um, intimate engagement should look no further than Sunday’s show at LC Pavilion with Butcher Babies. If you’re lucky, he won’t play that regrettable cover of “You’re So Vain” he cut with Johnny Depp.
