Suspense stalwarts endorse “The Expats,” the freshman thriller by author Chris Pavone that follows an American couple’s relocation to Luxembourg. The wife is an ex-CIA assassin and the husband has a few secrets of his own.

“I love complex plots packed with surprising revelations,” said Pavone.

Pavone’s visit ($20 per ticket) is part of Thurber House’s Evenings with Authors series. He’ll read from “The Exapts,” clue visitors in on his newest novel he’s currently working on and talk about writing for this nail-biting genre.
