Nashville combo Kopecky Family Band (named for co-founder Kelsey Kopecky) is the latest signee to ATO Records, the label co-founded by Dave Matthews, which released Radiohead’s In Rainbows and whose roster includes Alabama Shakes and My Morning Jacket. That seems like the right fit for this crew given that their lead single, “Heartbeats,” comes off like The Black Keys’ best attempt at writing a Foster the People song — or, like, MMJ’s “Holdin’ On to Black Metal.” The album, Kids Raising Kids, drops April 2, but they’ll be at The Basement this Tuesday opening for Milo Greene.
