Fans of Wine on High have their favorite parts of the loft-style Short North Shop: the upstairs tasting room; the range of prices; and the chance to pick up stuff besides wine (including a great selection of giftable accoutrements).
But we think Wine on High takes the cake for its meticulous and hilarious shelf labels.
Each bottle has a hand-written, informative and (typically) sarcastically funny message that notes flavors and suggested food pairings.
Browsing for a bottle of wine might take you four times as long as you stop to read each one, but you’ll leave feeling surprisingly satisfied.
