Christopher Daniel is an Alive support services specialist. These are a few of his favorite things.

Los Guachos Taqueria

5221 Godown Rd., North Side

Quick and tasty authentic Mexican cuisine in Northwest Columbus. Check them out on Wednesdays for their $2 gringas night, but beware — the place is packed! I load mine up with habaneros, onions and spicy chile sauce and wash it down with a Mexican Coke.

Bow Ties

Albert Einstein, Pee-wee Herman, Gordon Gee, Chris Daniel. All distinguished individuals quickly climbing their way to the tops of their careers and, consequently, the world. Bow ties are the quickest way to stand out in the slew of solid dress shirts with solid long ties. I like to take things the extra mile and mix patterns. With my bow tie, I’m going places, and I’m just as badass as all the other bow tie wearers before me.

The Following

If you love Kevin Bacon but you hate “Footloose,” then you’ll agree with me that “The Following” is the hottest show on primetime TV. Give me a captivating storyline, a viciously creepy villain and the hero from “Tremors,” and I’m hooked. Throw in Edgar Allan Poe references, and I’m putting a countdown app on my phone for next week’s episode. Already signed for a second season? Yes, please!

Cedar Point

America’s Rockin’ Roller Coast is my favorite place to be in the summer. Among all the attractions and junk food, by far the best part is the roller coasters. There’s something exhilarating about the anxious ride up and then the plummet toward the earth at outrageous speeds — and then doing it again and again. I’ll be first in line for their new coaster opening up this summer — the Gatekeeper on May 11.

Karaoke at Cavan Irish Pub

Whether in the shower, the car or in front of intoxicated onlookers, I love to sing. What better way to do what you love than with your friends so they can faithfully post that video of you singing “Believe” by Cher on Facebook before the night is over. I usually sing my showstopper “Burn” by Usher at Cavan Irish Pub in Merion Village on Friday’s at 10 p.m., but I might throw in some “Bills, Bills, Bills” if I’m feeling frisky.
