As an extension of Alive's Ultimate Party Patio Contest, we decided to add some other categories outside of Party Patio (in case you're not in the mood for a party). First up is the Ultimate Beer Lovers Patio, which is as simple as it sounds - great beer, great patio. Don't forget to vote for your favorites at columbusalive.com.

The campus hangout and noted soccer bar also boasts a boatload of great beers, whether on tap, bottle or in its adjacent carryout. The patio outside is massive with plenty of tables for drinking with friends, but it does fill up quick when the weather is nice. What can we say? It's a popular beer drinking patio.

This popular and long-running brewery serves up its delicious beer inside the attached brew pub - which also has some pretty great food. Outside is a welcoming patio tucked away from busy streets, on the far west side of the Brewery District, that's perfect for a relaxing pint (preferably Bodhi).

The interior of Elevator's Draght Haus is so ornate and stunning - and who doesn't love the snugs in front - that we often forget about its patio overlooking High Street Downtown. But it's a comfortable spot for sipping some of the brewery's excellent wares, which are always fresh and currently have some great warm weather options.

This relative newbie to the local beer scene has already made quite a name for itself with a stellar draft list. The pizza is nothing to scoff at either. So grab a pie and (a couple) pints, and head out to the patio where good times await.

Seventh Son opened in the winter - without its beers on tap - and everyone was anxiously waiting to drink on that comfy-chic patio. Now that the delicious brews are flowing and the patio season is upon us, there's no excuse for not soaking up the sun and a pint of American Strong Ale outside.
