10. Babe Ruth
The greatest baseball player of all-time set all kinds of records that lasted for decades and played every position.
9. Jennifer Lawrence
All of America fell in love with the affable, talented and lovely J-Law last year. She shares southpaw status with former America’s Sweetheart Julia Roberts.
8. Rocky Balboa
Southpaw Rocky was as dangerous as any puncher out there, but it’s his South Philly attitude (and penchant for training with chickens) that makes him a lovable leftie. Although, he did learn to use his right for the re-match with Apollo, which means Rocky was momentarily ambidextrous.
7. Jaime Lannister (aka The Kingslayer)
“Game of Thrones” spoiler alert. Jamie Lannister has always been a charming smart-ass — when he’s not tossing kids out windows or banging his sister — but he stole the show in Season 3. Unfortunately someone else stole his Kingslaying right hand and now he has no choice but to be a leftie.
6. Tina Fey
We’re still missing our weekly dose of Liz Lemon, but Tina Fey begs the question: Can men be funny?
5. Ned Flanders
Flanders was a proud leftie who loved serving his people — he was proprietor of the Leftorium — and by far the biggest do-gooder on this list. We wonder if Ned believes Jesus was left-handed.
4. Bruce Campbell
Cult hero/bastion of manliness Bruce Campbell is left-handed in real life, which probably explains why his “Evil Dead” hero Ash gets his right hand replaced by a chainsaw. (Oh, spoiler alert, but c’mon, watch “Evil Dead.”)
3. Jimi Hendrix
Jimi Hendrix is the most recognized leftie among a group of legendary musicians that includes David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Kurt Cobain, David Byrne, Phil Collins, et al.
2. Jim Henson
The late, great puppeteer actually wore Kermit the Frog on his right hand, operating the puppet’s hand with his left. Coincidentally, Kermit was portrayed as being a leftie as well.
1. Nicola Tesla
The greatest inventor of a generation was not only born left-handed, but later became ambidextrous. One more reason he’s badass.
