If you’re looking to get your swerve on with some big-ass drinks at low prices in a South of the Border setting, look no further than Park Street Cantina. The Arena District hangout is quite the busy place during the summer, mainly because of the patio (and the aforementioned big-ass drinks).
The patio is a large, tent-and-umbrella-covered gathering place — although there are pockets of sunshine peeking through too. You can belly up to the bar or high-top table, grab a large picnic table for a group of amigos, or even sit on a swing while sipping the beverage of your choosing.
Wherever you park it, the real tough decision is what ridiculously festive beverage to drink. Obviously Park Street Cantina has loads of options when it comes to tequila and Mexican beers, but the best bang-for-your-buck-libations are the mixed drinks.
There’s a plethora of flavored margaritas, frozen drinks served in a pineapple, and 36-ounce boat drink options — even a blue one. All are under $10, and 32-ounce margarita and vodka pitchers are only $5 during the Monday-Friday happy hour. If you feel like splurging, the 60-ounce Big Ass Fiesta Margarita is $20 (apparently it serves five, but what kind of party would that be?).
And if you overdo the party on Saturday night, just head back for a little hair of the dog during Sunday brunch. All margaritas, beers, mojitos and rum runners are $5 during brunch. Buenos Dias!
