I love Howard Stern. He entertains me in the car and makes me laugh every day, even when I’m pissed off. I’ve been a fan since I was 12. My dad used to listen to him in the car on the way to school. It’s the whole reason I own satellite radio and pay for Howard on demand.
My dogs, Sydney and Bella
Bella is half jack russell and half beagle. Sydney is half black lab and half coonhound. Both were rescues. You can’t print what I love about them because it’s disgusting (laughs). They’re dogs — they’re funny, they love you’re never mad at you. Sydney talks back when I yell at her, which is hilarious, and Bella never leaves my side.
“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”
It’s stupid, but hilarious — and Danny DeVito is awesome. They’re completely outrageous and ridiculous, but I find myself in situations all the time that I feel like would happen in “It’s Always Sunny,” and I don’t know if that’s good or bad. The other day there was a piece of poop in our garage and my husband and I were like, “Why is there poop in the garage? Where did the poop come from?” It was like that episode where they’re trying to find out who pooped the bed.
I love everything about it. It’s a stress reliever and an adrenaline rush. I like the camaraderie of it. Some of the best times in my entire life have been running: getting up on vacation and running the streets of Chicago or running half marathons. I’ve never run a marathon; I’d hurt myself.
I wasn’t always an IPA fan. In college I drank cheap beer and then I got turned on to IPAs, and now I can’t live without them; I love them. I love their delicious hoppiness and the bitterness on the back of my tongue. And hops are a natural euphoria-inducer. That’s why hoppy beer makes you feel better — the more hops the better. We grow our own hops too; my husband makes his own beer, but I just drink it.
