Opera Columbus’ collaboration with Shadowbox Live for this abridged, English-language adaptation of Franz Lehár’s classic operetta was so successful, performances have been added for early 2014.

This version thrusts the story of a young, rich widow and the secret schemes, alliances and affairs that transpire by others to grab a piece of her fortune, into a modern day setting.

This light-hearted, romantic tale is designed to create a more “accessible” brand of opera to audiences.
