From the January 23, 2014 edition

Local photographer Leah Fisher takes a novel approach to her street photographry by having a driver take her around the city while she shoots her subject.

By capturing 1/4000th of a second of everyday people in their everyday lives, Fisher says, "The images are more candid, most people don't notice passing cars when walking on the street.

When most people see a camera pointed at them, they change their demeanor to portray a certain look." The artist reception is 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.
