There are plenty of good reasons to highlight one of the best comedies on television. Eugene Mirman, who voices Gene “Beefsquatch” Belcher on “Bob’s Burgers,” coming to Columbus on Feb. 12 is just the timeliest one. One of the most entertaining aspects of “Bob’s Burgers” the daily special. Here’s the 10 best from the first four seasons.
10. Burger A La Mode — Comes with ice cream (Not on top)
This simple combination came out of Bob’s purchase of a soft serve ice cream machine. Unfortunately, the kids — dubbed by Bob as Team Soft Serve — had no interest in learning the ins and outs of operating said machine.
9. Camembert-ly Legal Burger
Naming a burger after a porn magazine is pretty salacious, but the real crime is camembert on a burger. C’mon Bob, you should know better.
8. Say It Ain't Cilantro Burger
Bob says it best, “Doesn't come with cilantro. Because cilantro is terrible.”
7. She's a Super Leek Burger (Comes with braised leeks)
A smart play on the Rick James’ track proves Bob has a way with words … and a proclivity for referencing bygone hits (See also: Girls Just Wanna Have Fennel Burger, Every Breath You Tikka Masala Burger, 50 Ways to Leave Your Guava Burger).
6. Thomas Elphinstone Hambledurger with Manning Coleslaw
When “Archer” did a crossover with “Bob’s Burgers,” the resulting burger of the day special was the typically obscure reference the “Archer” series is so fond of. You gotta love a pun that needs an explanation for why it’s funny.
5. The Child Molester (Comes with candy!)
Bob originally had “New Bacon-ings” as his burger of the day in the pilot episode, but lovable scamp Louise changes it to this unappetizing one. Surprisingly, someone actually orders it.
4. Chorizo Your Own Adventure Burger
Chorizo is phenomenally tasty — especially in a burger — and only outdone by this pithy pun.
3. Poutine on the Ritz Burger (Comes with poutine fries)
Marrying the classic Canadian side dish with a burger probably isn’t the healthiest combo, but it sounds delicious, and the pun always makes me think of that fantastic scene from “Young Frankenstein.”
2. Foot Feta-ish Burger
Bob originally meant for this to be Never Been Feta burger, but of course Louise changed it to something sexual. She’s got some issues.
1. We're Here We're Gruyere, Get Used to It Burger
One of the reasons Bob is just an all-around good guy is because he supports LGBT rights.
