Burlesque and comedy have a storied history together ― burlesque performers first started as a side-act to the comedy shows in cabarets, before becoming so popular it actually became the main attraction ― and “Girls, Gags and Giggles” combines the two for a modern take on both art forms.

Featuring local sensations from the burlesque and comedy scene, this Saturday’s event promises to be a wild, hilarious and, let’s face it, sexy good time. The show features burlesque performances by Cherie Blondell, Trulie Scrumptious, Peach Roulette, Eileen Galvin and Antoinette Seducteur, with standup sets from Justin Golak, Dustin Meadows and Sumukh Torgalkar. Comedian Erik Tait will host. “Girls, Gags and Giggles” starts at 11 p.m.

Before the main show, “Burlesque Trivia” kicks everything off at 9:30 p.m. The trivia portion intertwines questions on pop culture, science, history, films and more into six rounds of questions and burlesque performances. The winner receives a prize donated by The Shrunken Head. Admission is $10, for 18 and over only.
