Pop Culture: Gossip This!

From the April 3, 2014 edition

Sometimes the TV gods smile upon us: Former on-screen lovers (“That ’70s Show”) Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher announced that they will be having a baby because they are in love in real life.

And sometimes the TV gods laugh in our faces: Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be on TV again soon and, surprisingly, it’s not for “Celebrity Rehab.” “The Sorrentinos” will air on the TV Guide Network and chronicle multiple generations doing gym, tan and laundry.

Actor Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow on the fantasy television series “Game of Thrones,” said in an interview with GQ that he is an advocate for more male nudity on “Game of Bones Thrones.” This, he continued, would only be fair since there is so much female nudity in the show. We expect the HBO hit’s viewing numbers to double after this pronouncement — who knew so much exposed lady genitalia was whipping around Westeros?!

Expect the HIMYM crowd to be crowding your Facebook feed with their soon-to-be new obsession, Sandra Bullock’s in-progress TV version of the misadventures of Gracie Hart, aka Miss Congeniality.

Tyler Glenn, the lead singer of Neon Trees, came out as a gay man, which makes me feel a little awkward about all my Google Image searching of him a few years ago.

Actress/working-harder-than-you mom Gwyneth Paltrow and singer/aloof goof Chris Martin announced they are performing a “conscious uncoupling.” Yes, the couple who names their kid Apple and says things like “conscious uncoupling” together does not stay together. Buzzfeed is working on the personality quiz inspired by how you feel about this as we speak.
