Paul-Henri Bourguignon (1906–1988) is considered one of the 20th century master painters, becoming an integral part of the European modern art movement while working in Belgium.

Bourguignon met his future wife, Erika, while traveling in Haiti, and the couple relocated to Columbus when she joined the faculty at Ohio State in 1950.

He went on to have a prolific career with a wide-range of paintings — early gouaches and later acrylics — and numerous pencil, pastel and ink-wash drawings.

Opening reception is May 2.
