Cinco de Mayo falls on Monday this year, which means the whole weekend can be dedicated to getting in the right mindset for the party. If you plan on raging like a rock star, here are three of the best options this weekend.

Columbus Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl

Not that there needs to be a reason, but a good cause is a great excuse to get loaded. This Cinco de Mayo, make your hangover mean something at the Columbus Alive and Columbus Young Professionals Club’s Columbus Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl, benefitting The V Foundation.

From 1-6 p.m. on May 3, registered teams of five will begin the Columbus Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl at EndZone, and drink their way through the Arena District while raising money for The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Registration is $30 per crawler, which includes an official T-shirt and a bucket of Corona at all five stops. Columbus Young Professionals Club members can register at a discounted rate.

Each team will start at EndZone and then cruise a predetermined route of five bars, including Park Street Cantina, BBR, Brothers, Bar Louie, The Garage, Gas Werks, Callahan's, Park Street Tavern, The Social and Park Street Patio.

Flannagan’s Dublin

Flannagan’s Dublin is going big for Cinco de Mayo. Starting at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 5, the Dublin stalwart will play host to a bevy of Cinco de Mayo festivities to get the crowd hyped for electronic act Krewella to take the stage. The event is 18 and up, so even if you aren’t partaking in tequila shots, you can check out the action. Logic and Radical Something will open.

Cinco de Mayo Beach Party at Caribbean Jerks

Caribbean Jerk’s at Polaris started the fun a little early, and will party through the weekend with live music and food and drink specials. On Saturday, check out locals The Wonder Twin Powers at 2 p.m., followed by Yours For The Taking at 9 p.m. Sunday features Paradise Island Band, and they close out Cinco de Mayo with Pancakes For Dinner Band at 6 p.m. on Monday. You’ll probably want to request Tuesday off now.
