Ya gotta hand it to those Germans, who’ve conspired to usher in the two best seasons of the year (spring and fall, duh) with drinking. Because drinking.
Columbusites know all about Oktoberfest, but many might not be as familiar with its seasonal cousin, Maifest (though Cincy’s apparently been throwing Maifest parties for more than 100 years).
Grandview brewery Zauber hopes to change that this weekend with its inaugural (and free!) event by the same name.
Expect brews from Zauber, Sideswipe and Four String, grub from Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, ManBQue, Matt the Miller’s Tavern and Jeni’s Ice Cream, plus live polka music, a may pole and more.
The family-friendly fest will take place in the Goodwill parking lot adjacent to Zauber.
