Street Fashion: Thrift store finds

By
From the May 29, 2014 edition

Thrift stores and fashion don’t always go hand-in-hand, but with the rise of norm-core and rampant ’90s nostalgia sometimes the local thrift store can be the best place to augment your style. Good thrift store finds can be hard to come by, but will add uniqueness to your style that can’t be replicated. Items to look for: button-up blouses with cool patterns or colors, snap backs, grunge-y flannel, braided belts, denim jackets and “mom” jeans that can be cut into shorts, frayed or acid washed. Thrifting can be really hit-or-miss, so the alternative is to leave it to the pros and visit a vintage shop on High Street.
