The Los Angeles crew doesn’t shy from the power-pop label, judging solely by song titles like “Big Pop Song” (an apt descriptor, it turns out, of the big, bounding tune).

But while Collins undoubtedly has a knack for polished, radio-friendly choruses, the songs themselves can be surprisingly complex, with the frontman tracing relationships from the first blush of romance (“Falling in Love With Her”) to their sometimes-bitter end (“She Doesn’t Want to Hang Around With You”).

The Girls! and Sherbert open the show.
