But while Collins undoubtedly has a knack for polished, radio-friendly choruses, the songs themselves can be surprisingly complex, with the frontman tracing relationships from the first blush of romance (“Falling in Love With Her”) to their sometimes-bitter end (“She Doesn’t Want to Hang Around With You”).
