The Columbus music scene

I've been on the scene for a few years and have definitely witnessed a lot of changes. Folks like Fabrayshay A, Vada, Nes Wordz, Hodgie, Dominique Larue, Correy Parks have been consistent for years. It's also great seeing newer talent like Meg Paulsen, Satele, THE ILLs, Yogi Split, Devin XO, Bizz, KMB and others emerge on the scene. One of the reasons I started doing events in 2015 is because I wanted to feature artists I felt weren't getting the spotlight they deserved. I think there was a time two years ago when our scene wasn't in the best shape, but I'm really excited with the new energy and where things are headed.

Olde Towne East

I've been a resident of the area for about two years now and really enjoy living here. There are so many places you can get intoxicated and get a full stomach for around $12. Let's hope the area doesn't get gentrified in the next five years and turned into parking garages and luxury condos.

MADE/Nude Model

Not even because they're friends, but Khanh Ngo and Reese Whitaker have created some of my favorite brands anywhere. It's beyond motivating seeing folks from Columbus do amazing things. Expect A LOT from them in 2017.

Scorpio women of Columbus

Thank you for being such amazing people and sometimes throwing my life into shambles. I probably wouldn't have made half the music I've done without y'all. You've been such a help for my creative process and are truly an inspiration for my music and life overall.

Arcade bars

When I was 12 or 13 years old putting hours into "Super Smash Melee," I wouldn't believe a decade later I would be sipping on Ohio-brewed beers and embarrassing strangers in "Melee." I despise clubs, so places like Old North Arcade and 16-Bit have allowed me to flourish in my "nightlife." These places offer the perfect mix of nostalgia and just an overall great time. I'm happy it's become fairly popular within the city.
