A man died early this morning after a reported fight inside the Fiesta Paradise Club on the Far East Side. Columbus homicide detectives said Adrian Louis Battle, 27, was found inside the club at 6068 Channingway Blvd. at 1:29 a.m., where they had been called after a fight broke out.
Columbus police are trying to determine what caused the death of a man who suffered head injuries inside a Far East Side bar early this morning.
Adrian Louis Battle, 27, died at Mount Carmel East hospital at 2:20 a.m. today. His last known address was on the North Side, according to court records.
Columbus police patrol officers were called around 1:30 a.m. to the Fiesta Paradise Club, 6068 Channingway Blvd., on a report of a fight. When they arrived, they found Battle on the floor with head trauma.
Police are calling his death suspicious but are stopping short of calling it a homicide. No one has been arrested.
There were about 50 people inside the club and many reported hearing a loud thud and seeing the man on the floor, said detective Glen Siniff of the Columbus police homicide squad.
“But nobody said they had seen a fight,” Siniff said, noting detectives had interviewed around 45 people.
Anyone with information about Battle’s death is asked to call homicide detectives at 614-645-4730.
