The latest updates from the Columbus dining and bar scenes

Cosecha Cocina, a Mexican eatery from Grow Restaurants (owners of Harvest Pizzeria and The Sycamore), opens Friday, March 10 at 987 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village. The kitchen is headed up by Chef Silas Caeton.

The owners of Market 65 Downtown are opening a new fast-casual spot called Veranico on Thursday, March 9. The restaurant is located at 401 N. Front St. in the Arena District. Veranico will be open for lunch and dinner and will feature made-to-order salads, wraps, paninis and flatbreads.

The pop-up dessert shop Simply Rolled Ice Cream announced it will soon set up a permanent shop inside Oats and Barley Market in the Short North. Simply Rolled serves a Thai-style ice cream that's poured out onto a chilled plate and rolled up before serving.

Block's Bagels has opened its new store at 3012 E. Main St. in Bexley. The original location closed one year ago.

A new taco cart called FoxFire Tacos will begin making the rounds this month. The cart is setting up every Friday night and Saturday afternoon at Brothers Drake Meadery, and outside Local Bar in the Short North midday Wednesday and on Saturday evenings.

Crimson Cup Coffee and Dos Hermanos Tacos opened up shops inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center last week.
