Synth-heavy Brits infiltrating a prom near you

It's hard to listen to the 1975 and not begin sussing out the British quartet's musical forebears. Delete Simply Red and Justin Timberlake and all you have left is fond memories. That being said, if you want to be a pop band that dips its toe into blue-eyed soul, you would have a hard time finding two better tent poles. If synth-heavy jams like “Loving Someone” and “Somebody Else” are the fuel for this generation of teenage dreams, so be it. The 1975 is tailor made for soundtracks and prom memories. This show is sold out. (Safe bet)
