Artier-than-average rockers still rocking after 50 years

It is technically called the Qfm96 Sticky Fingers Food Festival, which features a bunch of bands and food trucks. For some of us, though, it is a chance to see Blue Öyster Cult for less than 20 bucks. The band is a true American original, and after 50 years as an active band, it is still hard to pin down. Long embraced by the metal community, BÖC was never really “heavy” or “rocking,” and always felt to be at arm's length from its peers. They were always a little too arty, a little too weird and way more interesting than your average band. Cinderella's Tom Keifer, Rat Bastard Syndicate, No Regrets and Terry Davidson & the Gears open. (Safe bet)
