400 West Rich celebrates our canine friends through art

Franklinton artist/curator Tona Pearson confessed earlier this year that, despite her coordination of the now-annual and insanely popular “The Amazing Cat Show!” at 400 West Rich, she is really more of a dog person.

And so now there's an opportunity to make some sort of “every dog will have his day” or “dog days of summer” comment, courtesy “The Amazing Dog Show!,” which opens at the warehouse studio/gallery space on Friday, July 14.

“When we did the first cat show two years ago, we immediately had people asking when we were going to do a dog show,” Pearson said.

“The Amazing Dog Show!” has proven to be as popular, at least among artists. Pearson said there have been more than 300 pieces of dog-themed art submitted for the show. PetPromise is the partner charity for the show.

“The Amazing Dog Show!” will be held during Franklinton Friday and will continue to be on view during hours to be announced.
