Before we know it the leaves will be changing and it'll be dark-beer season again

Sunny days and high temperatures are still in full swing, which means there's always need for a six-pack of summer beers or a bomber of the latest sour. While you're stocking up for the remaining cookouts, visit one of these local bottle shops.

Crafted Drafts

5245 N. Hamilton Rd., Gahanna

Situated in the northern reaches of Gahanna, Crafted Drafts stocks a collection of over 750 beers, ciders and other brews. The bottle shop maintains an active presence on its website and on social media, so it's easy to keep up with current offerings and new arrivals. Regularly scheduled tastings let you sample different styles or breweries before taking some home. Bonus: Owner Mike Troy is opening a second, larger location in Hilliard later this year.

Palmer's Beverage Center

3375 Indianola Ave., Clintonville

Palmer's is the OG of bottle shops in Columbus, serving as an early haven for craft beer aficionados to discover new styles, seasonal offerings and international brews. The unassuming shop has managed to keep up with the ever-increasing wave of microbrews. The staff knows its stuff, and you can always say hello to Pinky the bulldog when you visit.

Corner Stone Craft Beer & Wine

61 Parsons Ave., Olde Towne East

Sitting right at the corner of Parsons Avenue and Oak Street, Corner Stone is a small-but-mighty shop carrying over 300 beers at any given time. Add in a healthy wine selection and growler fills, and you're good to go.

Weiland's Market

3600 Indianola Ave., Clintonville

The state liquor store inside Weiland's continues to be a reliable stop for beer. It stocks a great selection in the coolers and on the shelves, and the store is usually able to get its hands on some of the more sought-after finds. Bonus points for doing growler fills and offering tastings in store.

Barrel & Bottle

59 Spruce St., North Market

The Barrel & Bottle is your stop for six-packs and one-off bottles while shopping the North Market. Owned by Jen Burton and Collin Castore, part of the team behind Seventh Son Brewing, Barrel & Bottle's selection is wide and varied, offering something for every shopper. Bonus: Before you grab bottles to go, order a pint to enjoy with your lunch or while you stroll the market.

The Bottle Shop

237 King Ave., Victorian Village

Although the Bottle Shop excels at craft cocktails, true to its name, the store is also a bottle shop. One side of the business is a cozy and funky cocktail bar, while the other represents a more traditional corner market. In the coolers and on the shelves you'll find a handsome collection of microbrews assembled in six-packs and as individual bottles.
