World-famous Senegalese musician comes to town

If you only know Youssou N'Dour from his contributions to Paul Simon's Graceland and Peter Gabriel's So, there are more than 30 albums of this Senegal native's genre-bending music to explore. N'Dour often employs his gigantic vocal range in a style of music known as mbalax, a type of West African dance music that fuses Western sounds and the traditional music of Senegal. The internationally renowned singer also ran for president of Senegal in 2012, and last year he released his 34th album, Africa Rekk. (Don't miss it)
