Tantrum Theater presents magical coming-of-age tale

Created by a Seattle children's theater company, “Into the West” is not specifically a piece of theater for children. The warm, bittersweet and comic tale of an Irish family dealing with the death of a mother and wife is staged in such a way as to leave room for audience members to “fill in the picture” with their imaginations and suspension of disbelief, said Jen Wineman, who directs the Tantrum Theater production.

A cast of three playing multiple roles, the introduction of a mythical Irish horse and live music performed throughout add to the magic.
