The latest updates from the bar and restaurant scenes

Veritas, which closed its Delaware location this fall, reopened last week Downtown in the Citizens Building at 11 W. Gay St. Chef/owner Josh Dalton has partnered on the project with the Edwards Companies, which offered to build Dalton his “dream kitchen” on the bottom floor of the old bank building. The glass-encased kitchen is the focal point of the 2,700-square-foot New American restaurant, which also features two bars, a private dining room and a chef's table for two. The restaurant is currently accepting limited dinner reservations, and Dalton plans to add lunch service at a later date.
