Local act still finding its footing

Columbus five-piece the Cartographers has apparently been around since 2007, but I didn't hear of the indie-pop act until its newly released album, Threads. The band is at its best when vocalists Danny White and Natalie Smith helm the songs in unison; on their own, there's a thinness that can't quite carry the Cartographers' innocuous, still-maturing sound. Fellow locals Best Foot Back and Excuse Me Reality round out the bill. (Think twice)
