Red Herring Productions' play wrestles with religious rites

Red Herring Productions presents this masterful, exigent and captivating work by Peter Shaffer throughout August at the Franklinton Playhouse. Dr. Martin Dysart is a psychiatrist who must work with young Alan Strang, who has ritualistically put out the eyes of six horses. Religion, sexuality and social mores are placed under Shaffer's microscope. The cast features Mike Writtenberry as Strang and Verne Hendrick as Dysart.
