Ill Mannered Brewing Co. opened its new facility at 38 Grace Dr. in Powell this week. The space features a 1,500-square-foot taproom and large patio with access to food truck parking. In July, the three-year-old brewery brought home two gold medals from the inaugural Ohio Craft Brewers Cup for its Ill Manna Slamma Blonde Ale and Malt Tank Scottish Ale.

Flavored Nation, an event featuring iconic dishes from across the U.S. prepared by both local and national chefs, takes place Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Grandview's Cap City Fine Diner & Bar, which closed this summer for remodeling, will reopen at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. The 5,156-square-foot Cameron Mitchell restaurant is located at 1299 Olentangy River Rd.

Blind Lady Tavern pours its last cocktails this Saturday, Aug. 11, at 22 E. Mound St.

The Short North location of Pies & Pints has closed at 1026 N. High St.

Columbus State Community College's 30th Annual Taste the Future fundraiser, featuring more than 50 food stations, takes place 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, on the CSCC campus at 550 E. Spring St. To purchase tickets, visit tastethefuture.com.

The first ever Lancaster Brew Week runs August 12-18 with more than 20 beer-related events planned. The week culminates on Saturday, Aug. 18, with the Fifth Annual Lancaster Brew Fest, a festival in downtown Lancaster featuring more than 20 Ohio breweries, food trucks and live entertainment.

The Southern restaurant and bourbon bar Hen Quarter Dublin will open at 6628 Riverside Dr. on Wednesday, Sept. 12. Hen Quarter is owned by a Washington D.C.-based restaurant group, but the Bridge Park location is operated by Columbus-based Jordan Restaurant Group.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing announced that its new events venue, the Hickory Room, will be open for booking starting Aug. 20. The new space is adjacent to the Downtown brewpub's dining room on Fourth Street. Stay tuned for details on the brewery's fifth anniversary bash, taking place Sept. 29.

Palle by Moretti, the Grandview-area meatball slinger from owners Tim and Jami Moretti, opened inside the Short North Food Hall this week.

Zen Bee Meadery opened recently at 7472 Reliance St. in Worthington. That makes three meaderies in Central Ohio, including Brothers Drake Meadery and the new Uprising Meadworks.
