Spend 2018 celebrating the ’90s

Expect to see a flood of Scary Spices — the most seasonally appropriate Spice Girl, pending the addition of Pumpkin Spice — when Highball Halloween takes over the Short North on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27. The reason? This year's festivities celebrate the music of the 1990s, complete with Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute, along with Divas of the '90s presented by Amber Knicole of MojoFlo.

This is on top of the usual public costume contest (good luck trying to top the fabulousness of returning Highball hostess Nina West) and the Battelle Costume Couture Fashion Show, in which eight design teams compete for the top prize, dressing runway models in over-the-top costumes (regardless, the same West warning stands here).

Beyond the concerts and competitions, expect some primo people-watching at what doubles as a giant, costumed street party. (And if you're not a fan of Halloween don't worry about finding the perfect mask because you're already a monster.) Visit highballcolumbus.org for more information and a full schedule of events.
