The latest updates from the bar and restaurant scenes

Ritzy's, the much-anticipated second coming of G.D. Ritzy's, officially opens at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. G.D. Ritzy's was a popular Columbus haunt in the 1980s, serving burgers, hot dogs, shoestring fries and ice cream. The new eatery is located at 4615 N. High St. in Clintonville.

Slice of Columbus, billed as “Central Ohio's largest pizza event,”returns to Columbus Commons on Wednesday, Sept. 12. (Full disclosure: I'll be gorging on pizza as a judge.) The event takes place 5-10 p.m. and benefits Nationwide Children's Hospital. Attendees are invited to sample pizzas from around town and vote on your favorite pie. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for kids.

In case you missed it, Adriatico's has moved out of its longtime campus home on 11th Avenue and relocated just around the corner at 1618 Neil Ave., formerly the Aveda Institute salon. The pizzeria's original location is set to be demolished in late 2018 to make way for an OSU optometry clinic and office building.

Mark Swanson, president of Cup o' Joe/Stauf's Coffee Roasters announced that the Downtown location of MoJoe Lounge has ceased offering breakfast and lunch. Currently located at 149 S. High St., the business will rebrand as Cup o' Joe and relocate in the near future to another spot in the Lazarus Building. Cup o' Joe will continue serving coffee and pastries.

The Campus area breakfast spot Hang Over Easy plans to open a second location this fall in Olde Towne East at 51 Parsons Ave. Black Creek Bistro called the Parsons Avenue space home for 10 years before it closed last September.

Executive chef Bill Glover and Gallerie Bar & Bistro are once again hosting a stop on the James Beard Foundation's Celebrity Chef Tour. The dinner series swings through town on Thursday, Oct. 18. The cocktail hour and multi-course dinner is a chance to experience cooking from some of the region's best chefs and get a taste of what happens at the famed James Beard House in New York City.
