A new food truck named Hisham's hit the streets this week, serving South African Cape Malay cuisine. Cape Malays are an ethnic group in South Africa with Southeast Asian ancestry. The menu includes chicken, vegetable and beef curries, plus hand pies, samosas and koesisters, traditional sticky doughnuts sprinkled with coconut.

A local franchise of Rush Bowls, a fast-casual chain out of Boulder, Colorado, is opening its first Central Ohio location in November at 264 W. Lane Ave., across from the Ohio State campus. The eatery offers acai bowls and other meals-in-a-bowl featuring fruits, vegetables, granola, protein and vitamins.Rush Bowls of Columbus expects to open several new locations in the region in the near future.

C'est Bon Cafe, the French creperie in Bexley, announced it will close at the end of the month. The cafe is located at 2258 E. Main St.

Little Lebanon Mediterranean has closed its fast-casual eatery on Sancus Boulevard to focus on its catering operation, which is located at 2630 Billingsley Rd.

In case you missed it, Ty Asian Ginger Bistro recently added a dim sum brunch, which takes place 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 5689 Woerner Temple Rd. in Dublin.

In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Middle West Spirits announced a brand redesign this week. One of Central Ohio's original craft distilleries, Middle West worked with Columbus-based Mynte Design Co. to develop a new brand identity and complete label redesign for its lineup of spirits, which will be divided into three sub-brands: OYO for the company's vodkas, Middle West Spirits for its whiskeys and its gin will remain Vim & Petal. Anchor Hocking Co., the Lancaster-based glass company, created new bottles as part of the redesign.

Country Living magazine brings its Country Living Fair to Columbus 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept.14-16. The event at Ohio Village (800 E. 17th Ave.) will feature antiques sellers, food vendors, cooking demos, artists, furniture makers and more. Visit countryliving.com/fair for more information.
