Monthly community meal is Oct. 18

Jeromesville Trinity Lutheran Church’s monthly community meal will be on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will include tater tot casserole, chicken stuffing casserole, corn, fruit and cupcakes. This meal is open to anyone who would benefit from a free home-cooked meal in a friendly atmosphere. A meal can be delivered to a shut-ins in the Jeromesville area by calling the church at 419-368-3132.

Annual rummage and bake sale Oct. 12, 13

First Congregational Church of Sullivan will have its annual rummage and bake sale Friday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be plenty of clothing, household items and more.

Mass of Thanksgiving scheduled

Bishop Mark Bartosic, son of Joan and the late Dean Bartosic of Ashland, was recently ordained an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Bishop Bartosic will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Edward Church this Saturday, Oct. 13, at 4:30 p.m. A light reception will follow.

Swiss steak dinner offered

A Swiss steak dinner will be held Saturday Oct. 13 from 4  to 7 p.m. at Savannah United Methodist Church, 10 W. Main St., Savannah.

Red Haw to have a fall festival

All are welcome to the annual Red Haw Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. The festival begins with a parade starting at the corner of Ohio 302 and County Road 175. A hayride will then take guests from the Red Haw United Methodist Church to the Strine’s for the party which includes, games, food and a guest magician. Costumes welcome and encouraged.

Singing tour group in Ashland

Emmanuel Baptist Temple will be host to The Voices of Revival male singing group from Commonwealth Baptist College of Lexington, Kentucky. The singing and preaching begins at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14. The church is at 1311 McClain Road, Bailey Lakes.
